A one-day tutorial on systems engineering ontology

Venue: Alumni Arena, University at Buffalo, North Campus
Time: Friday, January 26, 2018, 9am-3pm

The UB Center for Multisource Information Fusion (CMIF) is pleased to host a one-day ontology boot camp to be taught by Dr. Barry Smith, SUNY Distinguished Professor of Philosophy and Julian Park Chair.

Dr. Smith’s work on applied ontology in biology and healthcare is well known. Recently he was invited by the Systems Engineering Research Center to lead a training session in Washington DC on the application of ontology to the field of systems engineering. CMIF has invited Dr. Smith to offer a version of this course to the UB community.

Participation is free and open to the public. Coffee and lunch will be provided to those participants who register in advance by email to johnc@buffalo.edu.
