&lt;div&gt;The [http://www.buffalo.edu University at Buffalo], the [http://ncor.us National Center for Ontological Research] and the [http://www.bioontology.org/wiki/index.php/Dissemination_Wiki National Center for Biomedical Ontology] are sponsoring a one-day training event on ontology building, which is to take place in Buffalo, NY on Saturday, October 23. &lt;br /&gt;

This event is being organized as part of the graduate course PHI 548, taught by Barry Smith and Mathias Brochhausen. External participants are welcome. See registration details below.&lt;br /&gt;

The primary audience for this event consists of persons with an interest in ontology but who have &#039;&#039;&#039;no background in the use of the computer languages and software tools employed in ontology construction, editing and use&#039;&#039;&#039;. All sessions will be highly interactive.&lt;br /&gt;
