The Industrial Ontologies Foundry (IOF) is an initiative to create a suite of ontologies to support digital manufacturing. On May 5 an IOF working meeting will be held in Buffalo featuring
- Hyunmin Cheung (Autodesk)
- Martin Hardwick (STEP Tools / Rensellaer Polytechnic Institute)
- Dusan Sormaz (Ohio University)
who are three prominent members of the IOF community.
We will begin with a working session on specific IOF topics focusing on issues such as the ontology of computer-aided design.
During the afternoon we will organize a public session designed to introduce UB faculty and students to the IOF and to the new ISO standard (ISO/IEC 21838) on top-level ontology.
