Conference Questions
If you have questions concerning conference logistics please address them to Barry Smith at <phismith@buffalo.edu> and responses will be posted here.
Meals: Each day of the main ICBO conference (July 28-30) begins with a continental breakfast. The other meals provided (lunch on all 3 days, dinner on the first 2 days) include a wide range of choices, including vegetarian options.
Wifi: Free wifi access will be available in the conference rooms to all ICBO participants.
Extension cords: A limited number of extension cords will be available. Participants are encouraged to bring their own.
Emergency telephone: For logistics information during the conference call (716) 689-6900 (ask for 'ICBO Conference/Ballrooms 1-4).
Taxi and Shuttle Services
Many of the recommended hotels have complimentary shuttle service from Buffalo Airport. (Telephones in baggage claim area.) Taxi fare from Airport to UB North Campus area hotels is around $20.

Registration Desk
Badges, Programs and Proceedings may be picked up at the Registration desk located near the Ballroom (1st floor) of the Marriott (Conference) Hotel. Registration desk hours are as follows:
- Tuesday, July 26: 8:00am – 2:00pm
- Wednesday, July 27: 8:00am – 2:00pm
- Thursday, July 28: 7:15am – 12:00pm
Your ICBO name badge is required in order to gain admission to all conference events, including meals.
Special Topic Sessions
A block of 2 hours, from 3.30 to 5.30pm, has been set aside on Day 2 of the ICBO program - Friday July 29th - to allow scheduling of parallel sessions on special topics. Persons wishing to organize special topic sessions at this or other times within the course of the meeting are invited to post announcements here:

For participants with posters
Poster printing services in Buffalo are available at:

Both are located a short shuttle ride from the conference venue.
Please check the conference program to see which of the two poster sessions you have been assigned to. You are requested to post your posters at the beginning of the lunch break on the corresponding day. Please ensure that your posters are taken down by lunch the next day if you wish to retrieve them.
Recommended poster size is 36" x 48". Maximum size is 48" x 48". Display boards and pins will be provided.
Print and on-line proceedings
All participants will receive a free copy of the print version of the conference proceedings. Details of the on-line proceedings will be made available soon.
