Internal Meeting

  • Time: January 27, 2014, 4-6pm
  • Venue: IHI, Main Street, Buffalo, NY

We will survey on-going work on current grant-funded research and outline future plans.

Topics to be addressed will include:

PRO: The Protein Ontology

Defining 'protein aggregate' (Alan Ruttenberg)
Use of PRO in ImmPort Antibody Registry (Alex Diehl)

BISC-ImmPort

CL-ImmPort-HIPC

Enhancing the Cell Ontology for Immunology Research

DoD NCBO (I would just mention)

Plans for grant submission I know about

BARDS (Elkin's Big Data submission) IDO-renewal PRO-renewal

I also have a current National Multiple Sclerosis Society Pilot Project grant, from 6/1/13-5/31/14. This supports work on MS-related extensions of ND and OBI to analyze patient records in the NYSMSC patient registry. Mark Jensen is doing most of the ontology development. Alan and Bianca are co-investigators.

I am (hopefully) submitting a proposal Jan 31 to the Progressive MS Alliance for support of MS ontology development for annotation of published clinical research in MS. Alan will be a Co-I, and the grant will support one post-doc for one year if funded.

elja about improving the evolutionary ontology and terminology authoring method and applying it to BFO.
